Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Software Engineer II to join a collaborative Agile team building modern, cloud-native applications. You will contribute to backend development, design event-driven architectures, and deliver secure APIs and microservices in AWS, with 3-5 years of experience.

This 6-month contract-to-hire role is located at Keystone Crossing, Indianapolis, IN with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Compensation is $45-48/hour (W-2) and strong opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Python, SQL and AWS.
• Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, Python, and SQL.
• Build and enhance scalable REST APIs and backend services.
• Develop and support microservices-based architectures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following engineering best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production support.
