Job summary

Brooksource is seeking an experienced Java Developer in Columbus, Ohio to support modernization of a 24x7 enterprise application. The role involves working across the stack with Java/J2EE, AWS, microservices, and modern development practices.

You'll build RESTful and GraphQL APIs, deploy in AWS, containerize with Docker and Kubernetes, and contribute to CI/CD and AI-assisted development tools, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Strong expertise with Java and AWS.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, or similar ORM frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience developing event-driven solutions using Kafka, SQS, or similar.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Genuine passion for technology and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, or similar ORM frameworks


• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
