Job summary

Salesforce is hiring a backend Software Engineer for the Agentforce team. You will build and maintain AI agent capabilities servicing 15,000+ internal users, designing topics and conversation flows, and integrating with Salesforce Data Cloud and external APIs.

You will participate in an agile SDLC, improve prompts and data ingestion pipelines, and collaborate with product managers and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable SaaS solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• Strong backend experience in Java or Python.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and LLM concepts.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL and API integrations.
• Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain agent capabilities using Agentforce Builder and Agent Script.
• Develop topics, skills, and conversation flows for complex sales use cases.
• Integrate agents with Salesforce Data Cloud and external data sources.
• Write and optimize prompts for agent instructions and guardrails.
• Contribute to SDLC through design, implementation, reviews and testing.
