Job summary

Affirm is seeking a software engineer to join the Batch Developer Experience team. You’ll design, develop and launch backend systems using Python or Kotlin, work with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes, and collaborate across product, design and analytics.

In a remote-first environment, most roles can be done from anywhere in the country, with occasional in-person onboarding. Base pay ranges for CA/WA/NY etc are $165k-$225k, and all employees receive comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin and distributed systems concepts.

Responsibilities

• Break down projects into tasks and deliver in phases with timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics teams in ideation and constraint articulation.
• Maintain and monitor team artifacts, metrics, and on-call readiness.
• Participate in interview process to help grow the team.
