Rocket is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and build backend systems powering AI-driven communication experiences. You will work with .NET and TypeScript to create scalable services and intelligent agents across phone and chat channels.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience post-graduation.
• Strong proficiency in .NET and TypeScript or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of backend development, API design, distributed systems, and GraphQL.
• Experience delivering production software with increasing ownership and complexity.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting applications in production environments.
• Ability to write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and review others' work.
• Strong collaboration and communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using .NET and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize TypeScript-based agents for phone and chat experiences.
• Own solutions from design through production and support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI agent solutions with existing systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and high-volume workflow decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve reliability and observability.
