Rocket Homes Real Estate LLC is seeking a Software Engineer II to design and build backend systems powering AI‑driven communication experiences using .NET and TypeScript. You will own solutions end‑to‑end, mentor peers, and collaborate across teams to enhance reliability and performance of our real‑time phone and chat platforms.

Responsibilities include building scalable services, integrating AI agent solutions, and driving architectural decisions for high‑volume workflows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience post‑graduation.
• Strong proficiency in .NET and TypeScript or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of backend development, API design, distributed systems, and GraphQL.
• Experience designing and delivering production software with increasing levels of ownership and complexity.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting applications in production environments.
• Ability to write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code and effectively review the work of other engineers.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using .NET and TypeScript to support AI‑driven agent platforms.
• Build and optimize TypeScript‑based agents that power phone and chat communication experiences.
• Own technical solutions from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI agent solutions with existing systems and infrastructure.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions for high‑volume communication workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code and provide thoughtful feedback through code reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and identify opportunities to improve system reliability, performance, and observability.
• Mentor less‑experienced engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standards.
