Job summary

Virta Health is hiring a Backend Engineer to build reliable Golang microservices powering eligibility, billing, and client-facing systems. You will automate workflows, improve data accuracy across member, client, and operational data, and collaborate with data and AI teams to apply AI to processes and validation.

You’ll design self-service tools for finance and operations, ensuring data is consistent and traceable for reporting.

Qualifications

5-7 years of shipping backend code in a high quality production environment.
Experience building microservices in production.
Experience with data and event-based architectures (API development, SQL/NoSQL datastores, messaging queues, etc.).
Experience with Golang.
Experience with a cloud platform such as Google Cloud, AWS and/or Azure.

Responsibilities

Build and enhance scalable Golang microservices to power eligibility, coverage, billing, and client-facing systems.
Automate and streamline operational workflows, improving data handling and accuracy.
Design and deliver self-service tools for finance, operations, and client teams.
Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and traceable for internal and external reporting.
Collaborate with data and AI teams to apply AI to data validation and automation.
Contribute to client-facing APIs enabling seamless data exchange.
