Job summary

Virta Health is seeking a senior backend engineer to own foundational data infrastructure and drive data-intense systems that power our Partner and Growth initiatives.

You will design contracts, enable event-driven integrations, and advance observability, reconciliation, and data provenance across the data lifecycle, partnering with Product, Data, and external partners to deliver scalable, reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering skills and production reliability.
• Experience designing data-intensive systems with schemas, identity, lineage, and reconciliation.
• Ownership mindset with proactive problem solving across teams.
• Cross-functional collaboration across Product, Data, and Partners.
• Experience with B2B or partner-facing data systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the data contracts and processing semantics end-to-end across data lifecycles.
• Build end-to-end observability, reconciliation, data freshness, and safe replay mechanisms.
• Lead architectural discussions across teams and with external partners.
• Translate evolving audience/workflow requirements into reusable platform capabilities.
