Job summary

BeaconFire Inc. in Central New Jersey is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer with a strong OO foundation to join our team and build scalable backend applications and Generative AI solutions.

If you have experience in C++, Java, C#, Kotlin, or another OO language and want to grow into Java backend development and AI, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time role with Visa sponsorship for eligible candidates and an E-Verified employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with C++, Java, C#, Kotlin, or another OOP language.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to transition into Java-based backend development.
• Interest in learning Generative AI technologies such as LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, production-ready backend applications and services.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Apply strong knowledge of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and SQL.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, security, and application performance.
• Apply your C++/OOP experience to Java-based enterprise backend development.
