Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Back Shop Lead to oversee fabrication and machine shop activities in support of AFRL RX facility and laboratory maintenance. You will manage daily shop operations, coordinate fabrication and repair work across trades, and maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and materials.

The role requires extensive Back Shop and Machine Shop experience within a DoD setting and the ability to obtain CAC or equivalent background clearance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience managing a Facilities Back Shop environment in a DoD facility.
• At least 5 years of Machine Shop experience.
• Certifications & Screening Ability to obtain a favorable NACI or Tier 1 background investigation and CAC.

• Maintain accountability for shop tools, equipment, and materials.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift and/or scissor lift operator certification.
• Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
• Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
