The Building People, LLC seeks a Shop Foreman to lead skilled-trade operations and supervise technical staff supporting the AFRL Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQ).

The role emphasizes coordinating workload with government leadership, managing procurement, and supervising electricians, carpenters, and plumbers to support facility and laboratory operations, with a focus on cost control and compliance.

Qualifikationen

• At least 15 years of DoD Facilities Management experience.
• At least 10 years of experience as a supervisor or shop foreman.
• Experience with work order cost analysis and initiating/approving purchase orders.

Position Summary

The Building People, LLC seeks a Shop Foreman to lead skilled-trade operations and supervise technical staff supporting the AFRL Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQ).

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with government leadership and Facility Managers to schedule workload, materials procurement, and subcontractor services.
• Supervise skilled-trade technicians, including electrical, carpentry, and plumbing staff, supporting RQ facility and laboratory operations.
• Perform work order cost analysis and initiate and authorize purchase orders.

Required Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience in DoD Facilities Management, preferably with the Air Force.
• At least 10 years of experience as a supervisor or shop foreman.
• Skilled and efficient in work order cost analysis and purchase order initiation/authorization, with excellent communication skills.

Certifications & Screening

• Ability to obtain a favorable NACI or Tier 1 background investigation and CAC.
• Valid, unrestricted state driver's license (position may require operating government-furnished vehicles).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RSMeans (CostWorks) or comparable cost-estimating tools.
• Salary offered will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and certifications.
• Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
