Job summary

Price Rite in Hamden, CT is seeking a Receiver (PRRC CT) to deliver a great customer experience while maintaining a neat, organized back room and ensuring accurate receiving of deliveries. You will support daily operations, cross-train across departments, and contribute to a positive shopping environment.

Reports to Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, teamwork, and adhering to company policies and QA standards in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English with clear communication.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and organization.
• Handle damaged or returned items per policy; prioritize perishable goods.
• Verify invoices for cost, price and quantity accuracy.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current promotions and charitable initiatives.
• Maintain safety and sanitation in all areas; adhere to QA standards.
• Assist with opening cartons and rotating stock as required.
