Job summary

Price Rite Worcester is seeking a Receiver (PRRC) to ensure accurate receiving of deliveries, protect company assets, and maintain a neat back room. You will learn multiple departments and support a great shopping experience through efficient receiving and team collaboration.

This role requires reading and math skills, physical endurance to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to work in varied temperatures while delivering friendly customer service and following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and handle spices.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned shifts and comply with attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged or return-to-stock products per policy, prioritizing refrigerated items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity accuracy.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow QA hand washing standards and wear gloves when handling food.
• Perform duties per HAZCOM program and manufacturer’s label instructions.
