Job summary

Center for Primary Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant - Back Office to support providers in delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care. The role involves clinical and administrative duties, coordinating care, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and families.

The CMA will assist with exams, administer medications, manage specimens, and support patient education while adhering to infection prevention and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or GED required.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered MA, Certified MA, or current LPN required; BLS within 6 months.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of Medical Office experience.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and healthcare terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits; obtain and document clinical information with compassion and respect.
• Assist physicians and care team with examinations and procedures; maintain patient flow.
• Administer medications and immunizations; collect specimens when needed.
• Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up appointments; support care continuity.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and documentation per infection prevention and privacy rules.
• Contribute to CPC's culture of joy, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
