Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Steward at ORANGE COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER to support back-of-house operations, sanitation, warewashing, and overall cleanliness to ensure service readiness. This on-call part-time role offers varied shifts, weekends, and holidays and opportunities to grow within a global services company.

The position supports banquet, catering, concessions, and restaurant operations, reporting to the Steward Supervisor or culinary leadership and adapting to unit size and needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous experience in stewarding, sanitation, or food service support roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support opening and closing sanitation procedures for food service areas.
• Assist with organization and proper storage of equipment, supplies, and service ware.
• Handle waste, recycling, and grease removal in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain floors, drains, and work surfaces to meet cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
