Job summary

Tebra in New York is seeking an SDE1 Backend Engineer to lead the development of our Practice Management platform. You will design and implement architectural solutions, maintaining critical services essential to our operations.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to craft robust, scalable solutions and improve the development process. A strong foundation in Java/Spring and cloud tech is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Spring, version control, and relational databases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software applications using Spring Boot, Java, and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to architect robust and scalable solutions that meet business requirements.
• Design, implement, and advocate for critical services that serve as foundational building blocks for product features, as well as improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring that the team adheres to best practices for clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
