Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a Baader Technician Assistant to perform skilled machine maintenance at production facilities and on vessels in Alaska. You will assist with repairing Baader electrical and mechanical systems, adjust machine guides and knives, and ensure safety and efficiency in operations.

The role requires HS Diploma or equivalent and mechanical/electrical training or experience. Strong documentation skills and adherence to safety policies are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical and/or electrical training or experience, and/or equivalent training or experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; perform basic math and write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains Baader electrical systems (encoders, generators, switches, controllers).
• Repairs and maintains mechanical systems of Baader filleting machines (chains, bearings, belts, gears).
• Sets and adjusts machine guides, knives, spike chains and sliding blocks per specs and safety procedures.
• Adjusts to ensure conversion factors and yield ratios meet specifications.
• Tests machines to ensure safe operation and proper tooling setup.
• Completes maintenance documentation (logs, work orders, reports).
• Works on Ryco, Berger process equipment as required.
• Follows safe work procedures and environmental/safety policies.
