Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to operate, repair, and maintain a range of engines, pumps, hydraulics and conveyor systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and follow safety procedures to keep critical seafood processing equipment running efficiently.

Candidates should have at least two years’ experience as a mechanic or a trades school degree, basic troubleshooting, and the ability to read diagrams and manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a mechanic or trades school degree.
• Basic troubleshooting skills with general equipment such as forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, motors, small engines, and marine equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems, gears, hydraulics and other equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and direction.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and follow engineering specifications.
