Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking a Baader Technician Assistant to support skilled maintenance of Baader filleting and processing machines on production facilities and vessels. You will assist with electrical and mechanical system repairs, set up guides and knives, and help maintain documentation and safety procedures.

The role requires a HS diploma, mechanical/electrical training, and the ability to read and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical and/or electrical training or experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Baader electrical systems (encoders, generators, switches, motors).
• Repair and maintain Baader mechanical systems (chain drives, bearings, belts, gearboxes).
• Set and adjust machine guides, knives, spike chains and blocks per specs and safety rules.
• Adjust to achieve desired conversion factors and yields.
• Test machines to ensure safe, efficient operation of motors and tooling.
• Complete maintenance docs (logbooks, work orders, reports, inventories).
• Follow safety procedures and environmental policies.
