Job summary

PSS Industrial is seeking a driven Counter Sales professional to generate quotes and proposals based on customer requests received by phone, email, or in person. You will support customers with product knowledge, follow up on quotes, and coordinate shipping to ensure timely delivery.

In this role, you will enter orders into the ERP system, maintain relationships with customers, and collaborate with the Outside Sales Team to support accounts.

Qualifications

• Two plus years of business to business industrial sales experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using Infor SXe software is a plus.
• A strong sense of urgency and commitment to timely service for customers.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Self motivated to enhance personal development and company performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Generates customer quotes and proposals based on customer's requests via phone, email, or in person.
• Provides counter sales support and assists customers with products and services as needed.
• Follows up on quotes and proposals, negotiates as needed and closes transactions.
• Coordinates shipping and material information requirements for products and any other incidental tasks to ensure the right product is delivered on time.
• Enters orders in the ERP system based on established rules and practices.
• Maintains working business relationships with established and new customers.
• Works with Outside Sales Team and provides feedback and communication regarding accounts.
• Assists in delivery of customer orders and pickup of materials for small branches as needed.
