About the Role

As a Bookkeeper, you'll work directly with an Accounting Manager, supporting UK clients and ensuring smooth financial operations. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services and supporting our clients' success.

Mission: Empower clients with accurate, timely financial insights—streamline processes, strengthen relationships, and drive business success with Sleek.

Outcomes:

  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in Xero and reconciled regularly, maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Develop trusted relationships with your clients, providing clear financial insights and addressing queries within 24 hours.
  • Support the accounting team to complete month-end processes within 5 working days, ensuring reports are accurate and compliant.
  • Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes, increasing efficiency.
  • Support timely submission of tax returns, payroll, and statutory filings, ensuring full compliance with UK standards.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years experience working with UK-based accountants.
  • Proficiency with XERO (Certified User preferred).
  • Computer savvy with Excel and Word skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Dext, Hubdoc, Zendesk is desirable.
Interview Process

The process includes:

  • A ~30/45-minute video call with HR to discuss your application.
  • Project or case study or competency-based interview to assess skills and experience.
  • A ~60-minute behavioral and Q&A session with HR or leadership.
  • Reference checks from two previous managers.

We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks depending on your availability.
