Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support a distributed Azure-based environment within a Trade Compliance and Innovation initiative. You will serve as the primary SRE for one team while collaborating with another, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficient deployment across development, testing, and production.

The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, CI/CD with GitHub, AKS and ACA management, and strong scripting in Python/Go/Java.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
• Hands‑on Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub.
• Experience supporting containerized applications using Kubernetes, AKS, or Azure Container Apps.
• Strong scripting or development experience using one or more of the following: Python, Go, Java, .NET, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud networking, security, monitoring, and system reliability practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to support globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Site Reliability Engineer supporting Azure-based applications and platforms.
• Design, build, automate, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and other cloud automation tools.
• Partner with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes, reliability, scalability, and system performance.
• Support Java and Python-based microservices deployed in Azure environments.
• Manage and support Azure Container Apps (ACA), Kubernetes, and AKS environments.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and cloud-native deployment tools.
• Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response.
• Research and resolve infrastructure, networking, and platform-related issues across complex systems.
