Job summary

EY is seeking a senior cloud engineer to deliver secure Azure Government platforms across multiple initiatives. You will translate mission needs into scalable cloud infrastructure, guide technical direction, and drive DevSecOps automation.

The role requires strong IaC, Kubernetes, and security expertise, with experience in government and highly regulated environments; a Bachelor’s degree and Azure certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in engineering roles with private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.
• Microsoft AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications or equivalents.
• Hands-on with IaC/CI-CD using tools like Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, or Ansible.
• Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes/AKS).
• Networking fundamentals and cloud security principles relevant to government/security contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across multiple initiatives.
• Set and guide technical direction for Azure Government platforms.
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices and automation.
• Make informed technical and delivery trade-off decisions balancing speed, quality, risk.
• Lead architecture and design efforts and review solutions for standards alignment.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management across delivery efforts.
• Influence stakeholders to align priorities and drive execution.
• Develop and grow engineering talent through coaching and delegation.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
