EY is seeking a senior cloud engineering leader to deliver scalable Azure Government cloud platforms for federal/state clients. You will guide technical direction, enable delivery teams, and balance delivery, quality, risk and platform health in security‑constrained environments.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, team capability growth, and ongoing process improvements across DevSecOps, IaC, and containerized workloads, working with distributed teams in a dynamic government context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering roles with cloud IaaS, PaaS or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications.
• IaC/CI‑CD design and delivery with Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM templates or Ansible.
• Containers and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Helm.
• Strong networking: VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing; hub‑and‑spoke concepts.
• Cloud security: least privilege, identity, encryption, logging/monitoring.
• Identity—Entra ID, Azure RBAC, PIM; managed identities.
• Windows and Linux admin; patching and hardening.
• PowerShell; Python or scripting a plus.
• Experience with government security frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
• Agile delivery; distributed teams; strong written and verbal comms.
• Top‑Secret clearance preferred; Git source control; AWS/GCP knowledge.
• Azure DevOps Pipelines; Ansible and Bicep experience; Azure Policy.
• CKA/CKAD/CKNS; additional certifications welcome.

Responsabilités

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across multiple programs.
• Set technical direction for Azure Government platforms; ensure scalability and security.
• Establish DevSecOps practices and automation to improve quality and reliability.
• Make informed trade-off decisions balancing speed, risk, and long‑term health.
• Lead architecture and design reviews to ensure standards alignment.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management across delivery efforts.
• Influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership without direct authority.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching, feedback, and delegation.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement in processes and tooling.
