Job summary

Kestra Financial in Tempe, AZ seeks a Director of Cloud & Platform Engineering to lead the cloud program on Azure, shaping strategy, architecture, and reliability. This leader will own the Azure landing zone architecture and governance while driving a service-based, SRE-aligned operating model across global teams and partners.

You will mentor engineers, build scalable platform services, and deliver cost efficiency with strong governance, risk management, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform roles with 5+ years in people leadership.
• Deep Azure expertise: landing zones, RBAC, networking, and compute/storage services.
• Experience building/operating platform engineering or SRE functions with service ownership and SLOs.
• Strong FinOps experience with cloud spend management at scale.
• Regulated industry exposure (financial services, SOC 2, SEC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud platform strategy and architecture aligned with business goals.
• Lead Cloud Platform team across US and India to deliver services and platforms.
• Oversee FinOps, cost visibility, and governance to optimize spend.
• Partner with CISO and Cybersecurity for identity, networking, and controls.
