Job summary

Kestra Holdings seeks a Director of Cloud & Platform Engineering to lead our cloud platform, owning the Azure strategy, architecture, operations, and reliability. You will evolve the team from reactive infrastructure into a modern, service-oriented, SRE-aligned function.

This role reports to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, overseeing platform engineers in the US and India, while shaping FinOps governance, cost optimization, and security alignment with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cloud engineering or platform roles with leadership experience.
• Experience building/operating a platform engineering or SRE function.
• Strong FinOps and cloud spend optimization experience at scale.
• Regulated industry exposure (financial services, SOC 2, SEC).
• Excellent communication to executive audiences.
• Proficiency with IaC, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute cloud platform strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Own Azure landing zone architecture, governance, and cost visibility.
• Lead a service-based, SRE-aligned operating model for the platform.
• Publish service catalogs, SLIs/SLOs, and escalation paths for platform services.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, data residency, and security controls.
• Mentor and grow the Cloud Platform team across US and India.
• Report platform health, spend, risk, and strategy to executives.
