Job summary

Milliman Indianapolis Health practice seeks a Platform Engineer to build and maintain secure, scalable Azure infrastructure, Databricks environments, and governance models. You will implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and support migrations across clouds while ensuring security and compliance.

You will partner with data teams and developers to enable cost-efficient, reliable delivery and maintain observability across Azure and Databricks platforms in a hybrid work setting in Indianapolis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Platform/DevOps/Cloud Engineer or related role, with Databricks, Git/GitHub workflows, and IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks
• Experience using IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep)

Responsibilities

• Build and manage Azure infrastructure and automation (IaC, GitHub Actions)
• Configure and maintain Databricks environments, Unity Catalog, and cross‑cloud migrations
• Monitor and improve reliability, observability, backups, and DR
• Enforce security/compliance (IAM, RBAC, HITRUST/HIPAA/SOC 2) across Azure and Databricks
• Collaborate with developers and data teams to enable secure, scalable delivery
