Job summary

Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) seeks an Application Architecture & Platform Engineering Lead to drive enterprise software quality through architectural oversight and development standards. You will optimize Azure platform operations and DevOps pipelines to deliver secure, scalable, mission‑critical applications.

You will provide strategic technology guidance, lead complex project teams, and align modern tech solutions with business goals to improve performance,

Qualifications

Requires four years of college with coursework in computer science or related fields.
Requires three years of professional experience in Application Services or a related IT field.
Three years professional experience architecting, developing and supporting complex applications using .NET and modern architectural patterns.

Responsibilities

Provide architectural guidance and technology recommendations by researching emerging solutions.
Lead complex projects and coordinate technical tasks with cross-functional teams.
Manage Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories and key Azure resources to ensure secure, scalable delivery.
