Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a proactive L1 Azure Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. You will monitor Azure resources, handle alerts, and perform Windows and Linux administration in Azure, providing 24x7 operational support.

The role emphasizes learning within a managed services environment, with exposure to Azure VMs, VNets, NSGs, backups, and monitoring tools, plus strong documentation and ticketing discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Graduate .
• Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
• 1-3 years of experience in Infrastructure Support, Cloud Operations, Service Desk, or Technical Support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Azure infrastructure, applications, and services using approved monitoring tools.
• Acknowledge, triage, and respond to alerts and incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure issues.
• Escalate unresolved or complex incidents to L2/L3 support teams following defined procedures.
• Participate in major incident bridges and provide timely updates.
• Ensure accurate documentation of incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
