Piper Companies is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer in Bethesda, MD, a hybrid role with four days onsite. You will build and modernize secure, scalable Azure infrastructure while supporting a move to cloud-native and serverless tech.

The role emphasizes IaC, Azure networking, and disaster recovery in production environments. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, strong Azure experience, and proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform and Bicep.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or related roles.
• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven IaC experience using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Strong Azure networking knowledge including VNets and private connectivity.
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity in Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure for enterprise apps.
• Develop and manage IaC using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar tools.
• Design secure Azure networking, including VNets and Private Endpoints.
• Develop and test disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup/SR.
• Support modernization toward serverless, PaaS, and cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with security and IT teams on cloud architecture and modernization.
• Assist with a new Azure subscription focused on enterprise integrations.
