The ideal candidate has 7+ years in infrastructure and strong Azure expertise, including IaC and CI/CD, to support both enterprise IT workloads and modern application platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar).
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security concepts.
• Experience supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and support complex cloud environments.

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) to support a leading organization in building and maintaining secure, scalable cloud environments. The Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in designing, deploying, and optimizing Azure infrastructure to support both enterprise IT workloads and modern application platforms.

This position will be onsite 4 days per week in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer include:

• Design, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure across compute, storage, and networking
• Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM)
• Implement secure Azure networking architectures including Private Link and hub-and-spoke models

Compensation for the Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer includes:

Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 annually (based on experience)
