Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the migration of Joint Staff J7 JLVC training software into Azure Government under JWCC, with hybrid work options in Suffolk, VA or Huntsville, AL.

You will design and implement cloud infrastructure in Azure Government IL4-IL6, create IaC standards with Terraform/Azure Bicep/ARM, and enforce Zero Trust across networks, storage, and compute. Collaboration with government stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field; 8+ years experience (or Master's with 6+ years).
• 5+ years hands-on experience designing/managing cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (2+ years in Azure Government/DoD IL4-IL6).
• Proven proficiency authoring production-grade IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, ExpressRoute/VPN, Azure Firewall.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III baseline (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, CISSP).
• Strong problem solving and able to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee enterprise cloud infrastructure within Azure Government (IL5) and IL6.
• Establish robust cloud foundation services, landing zones, and transit hub-spoke models.
• Direct IaC standards across the team using Terraform, Azure Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Create blueprints for migrating JLVC training software into containerized/virtualized cloud services.
• Enforce Zero Trust architecture across Azure networking, storage, identity, and compute boundaries.
