Job summary

The Amatriot Group in Linthicum Heights, MD is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to support the federal government by migrating sensitive workloads to the cloud. You will design, implement, and maintain cloud architectures with a focus on security, scalability, and compliance.

Responsibilities include building secure Azure Government solutions, IaC with Terraform and ARM templates, and leading cloud migration initiatives while guiding teams on best practices and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 7+ years.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Government and secure cloud architectures.
• Strong knowledge of networking, risk management, and cybersecurity in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with IaC, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions on Azure Government.
• Create and execute cloud migration plans with security and compliance.
• Improve cloud management platforms and evaluate performance.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and ARM templates.
• Lead cloud consulting engagements on architecture and deployments.
• Educate teams on security best practices and cost optimization.
• Participate in technical reviews ensuring security and operational fit.
• Maintain documentation and stay current with best practices.
