Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Cloud Simulation Integration Engineer based in Suffolk, VA or Huntsville, AL to bridge legacy training architectures with modern cloud environments. Core work includes refactoring and deploying JLVC federation models into JWCC Azure and validating M&S apps.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in systems integration, DoD clearance, strong scripting, and experience with DIS/HLA, RTIs, and JLVC tools; hybrid on-site work is offered in Suffolk or Huntsville.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required and active SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/M&S or related field, or equivalent work exp.
• 5+ years in systems administration or software integration.
• Strong OS administration across Linux and Windows.
• Scripting skills for troubleshooting and automation.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and latency optimization.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification.

Responsibilities

• Rehost and validate M&S apps into Azure Government VMs and containers.
• Configure DIS/HLA across cloud and hybrid networks.
• Assist with database migrations, storage optimization, and secure data transfer.
• Troubleshoot runtime issues and latency during JLVC exercises.
• Develop automated test harnesses for federation stability.
