Job summary

ASM Research in Reston, VA is seeking a Federal Network Support Engineer to provide foundational infrastructure and software services support for the Azure Core Networking team in Government Cloud environments. This role demands 24x7 operations and on-site work.

You will monitor ExpressRoute Direct ports, assist with provisioning, post-build deployments, and incident triage, while collaborating with partners such as ATT, BT, Verizon and Equinix.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in network operations or technical support.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure networking services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor capacity alerts and maintain ExpressRoute Direct port capacity.
• Perform port provisioning and generate Network Design Templates for builds.
• Create seed files and deploy post-build service configurations.
• Validate configurations before production deployment.
• Triage Livesite incidents and escalate issues per protocols.
