Job summary

IREN is seeking an Azure DevOps Lead Engineer to own the technical direction, standards and delivery of the Azure platform and DevOps practice. This hands-on leadership role will define architecture and governance for enterprise-scale Azure workloads across data center operations.

You will mentor DevOps engineers, collaborate with Cybersecurity and Compliance, and drive audit-ready controls for SOX and ISO 27001 within a Microsoft-centric stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, platform or cloud engineering, with enterprise Azure experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineers and owning technical delivery.
• Expert-level IaC and CI/CD design for Azure.
• Deep knowledge of Entra ID, Azure networking, and security services.
• Strong scripting in PowerShell and Python; experience with Azure REST APIs.
• Experience in regulated environments with SOX/ISO27001 audit evidence.
• Observability and SRE practices; security policy governance.
• Excellent communication of architecture and risk to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the Azure / M365 platform architecture and governance.
• Lead, mentor and develop DevOps Engineers across Azure best practices.
• Enforce infrastructure-as-code standards and CI/CD patterns.
• Own platform reliability: SLOs, monitoring and incident management.
• Design and implement identity, network and policy controls.
• Lead security-by-design and compliance automation for audit readiness.
• Drive platform roadmap and tech debt reduction; evaluate new Azure services.
• Serve as senior escalation for complex incidents and post-incident reviews.
