Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in database administration, hands-on experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Azure Managed Instance, and strong skills in backups, DR, and data governance. Collaboration with developers and on-call support are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments.
• Hands-on experience with relational database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and database technologies and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and support large-scale production database environments.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform database tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of queries and indexes.
• Design and implement database solutions meeting business and technical requirements.
• Develop backup, recovery, DR, and high-availability strategies.
• Collaborate with application teams to optimize database design and SQL queries.
• Ensure database security, access controls, and compliance.
