Job summary

Software Technology, Inc. in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, provision, and manage hardware/software configurations across Azure Cloud and Windows Server environments, ensuring data governance and compliant user access.

You will automate database jobs and ETL workflows, write robust PowerShell and SSIS scripts, tune performance, implement high availability and DR, and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on security and best practices.

Qualifications

Education: a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Expertise in enterprise MS SQL Server, Windows Server, and Azure Cloud environment.
Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell and SSIS for automation.
Solid understanding of storage, network architecture, and cloud infrastructure (Azure).

Responsibilities

Design, provision, and manage hardware and software configurations (Azure Cloud services and Windows Servers).
Design, implement, and monitor automated database jobs, maintenance tasks, and ETL workflows.
Write robust scripts (PowerShell, SSIS) to automate tasks, deployments, backups, and health checks.
Proactively monitor system performance, optimize queries, and manage indexing strategies.
Maintain and test disaster recovery strategies and provide 24/7 support for mission-critical systems as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support app development, data integration, and security/performance best practices.
