Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation in Duluth, GA seeks a Principal Architect to design and govern enterprise-grade data and AI platforms using Azure Databricks and Snowflake in a hybrid work model.

You will lead end-to-end data/AI architecture, ensure secure, scalable solutions, and collaborate with product and business teams to deliver measurable value while maintaining governance and ethics.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Azure Databricks expertise including cluster config and integration with Azure data services.
• Strong knowledge of AI concepts, ML workflows, and deploying models at scale.
• Experience in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, and metadata management.
• Understanding of distributed computing, security, compliance, and identity management.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with notebook-based development.
• Experience working in hybrid environments with strong cross-team communication.
• Ability to assess new data/AI technologies and guide stakeholders through change.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end data/AI architecture blueprint using Azure Databricks to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Design lakehouse and data engineering patterns on Azure Databricks for analytics and ML workloads.
• Provide architectural guidance for integrating Databricks with data warehouses, data lakes, and operational systems.
• Oversee selection and use of AI tools and services ensuring responsible, explainable models.
• Lead creation of reference architectures and reusable components to accelerate delivery.
