Job summary

Sterling Administration is seeking an IT Infrastructure Lead who will oversee our IT infrastructure, cloud services, and MSP partnerships from an Oakland onsite location. The role leads IT strategy, Azure design, security risk mitigation, and critical operations support to ensure secure, reliable systems.

You will collaborate with internal teams to align technology with business needs and data security requirements, manage incidents, and guide upgrades across networks and cloud resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
• 5–7 years in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure, security controls, MSP management, and IT operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT strategy roadmap.
• Manage and plan IT strategy projects.
• Proactively research, monitor and assess IT security risks and propose solutions.
• Design, build, and manage cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
• Plan and design cloud infrastructure within the Azure environment.
• Maintain, deploy, and support cloud applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, application deployment, and system performance.
• Work with IT MSPs to troubleshoot hardware and software errors by documenting problems and resolutions.
• Recommend upgrades to the network, server and related equipment, software, and other improvements to IT MSPs.
• Provide documentation and technical specs for planning and upgrading IT infrastructure.
• Lead and troubleshoot IT incident calls from IT Desktop Support MSP.
• Provide Mobile phone, Email and Desktop Support as necessary.
• Collaborate with department leads to meet business needs while upholding IT security.
• Monitor PKI certificates for expiration and address expiry notices.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
