Job summary

World Wide Technology, LLC has an Azure Cloud Engineer opening within our Government Services team in Washington, DC. This full-time, on-site role requires an active Secret or higher clearance and hands-on Azure, DevSecOps, IaC, and CI/CD experience.

You will design, build, and secure cloud environments, implement Terraform modules, automate with PowerShell and GitLab, and ensure federal security controls (NIST, RMF, FedRAMP). Work onsite in downtown DC four days per week.

Qualifications

• Active Secret or TS with ability to obtain Top Secret
• 5+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering with Azure work
• Depth with Microsoft Azure core services and architecture
• Strong hands-on IaC writing and maintenance
• Solid PowerShell scripting for automation
• Experience building & troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on Azure Virtual Desktop in production environments
• Experience supporting Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN/ExpressRoute)
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, RMF cloud security frameworks
• Ability to work onsite in downtown Washington, DC four days per week

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure — VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and PaaS services
• Manage and optimize Azure networking and connectivity
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and templates
• Automate with PowerShell, Bash, YAML/JSON, and GitLab CI
• Deploy and manage AVD host pools and FSLogix profiles
• Troubleshoot and tune AVD performance for live users
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Automate cloud operations, system configuration, and monitoring
• Implement secure cloud practices for federal environments (RBAC, Key Vault, IAM)
• Align with FedRAMP, NIST, RMF and agency-specific controls
• Use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to monitor health and SLAs
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and program staff on cloud modernization
