Job summary

SteelGate LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the U.S. Government IT environment from Quantico, Virginia. The role focuses on Azure-based cloud services, hybrid connectivity, and security compliance across Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and on-premises integration.

Candidates will design, deploy, monitor, and optimize reliable, scalable cloud resources while ensuring DISA STIGs, DoD security requirements, and incident response readiness are met. Secret clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

Experience designing, administering, and supporting Azure enterprise environments.
Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) and DoD compliance familiarity.
Strong scripting and IaC skills for automation and governance.

Responsibilities

Engineer, configure, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot an Azure cloud environment.
Support Entra ID, Microsoft 365 integration, and hybrid connectivity.
Implement Azure Policy and governance controls per STIGs and DoD requirements.
Develop disaster recovery procedures and perform regular testing.
Produce technical documentation and AARs for outages and upgrades.
