Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer (Azure) to design and build cloud-native, API-driven solutions on Microsoft Azure, enabling secure data movement across enterprise systems. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and Agile delivery teams.

This role is remote for qualified United States applicants, with some in-person interviews possible based on project needs. Strong Azure API Management, security, and Java/Spring Boot skills are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience architecting solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience managing API lifecycles with Azure API Management.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and GraphQL.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum teams and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop Azure-based cloud solutions for data movement and orchestration.
• Own API lifecycle design, security, analytics, and deprecation with Azure API Management.
• Implement authentication/authorization with Azure Active Directory and policy enforcement such as mTLS.
• Build APIs using GraphQL and Java/Spring Boot.
