Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to use measuring tools and basic hand tools.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good attendance and reliability.
  • Forklift experience or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble axle components according to work instructions and production standards.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain production flow and meet daily production targets.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist with material handling and movement of parts within the production area.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and teamwork within the department.
  • Cross-train in multiple assembly processes as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assembly Line Operator to support daily axle assembly operations. This position is responsible for assembling components, operating production equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, and committed to producing high-quality products.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Assembly Supervisor and works closely with team leads, quality personnel, and other production team members.

Shift / Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • 1st shift operation
  • Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional weekend work as required by production demands

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble axle components according to work instructions and production standards.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
  • Maintain production flow and meet daily production targets.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist with material handling and movement of parts within the production area.

Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing safety standards.
  • Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing facility and requires adherence to all plant safety and operational procedures. Overtime may be required based on production demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
