Position Summary
The Assembly Operator is responsible for performing assembly tasks as part of a production line. The role involves following detailed instructions, blueprints, and work specifications to assemble parts and products that meet quality and safety standards, contributing to efficient and timely delivery of high‑quality products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production orders to perform repetitive assembly operations.
- Utilize hand tools and simple power equipment such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, and other similar tools to assemble parts.
- Operate test equipment to check sub‑assemblies for functionality and notify supervisors of any issues.
- Perform bench operations, assembling components like plates, springs, "O" rings, racks, and valves using screws, nuts, gaskets, spacers, and other parts.
- Package finished products and prepare labels as required.
- Conduct minor setup activities for tools and equipment as needed.
- Record production data, including job numbers, part numbers, operations performed, and quantities completed, accurately in the computer system.
- Report defective materials, incomplete operations, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 5S standards.
- Follow safety guidelines and practices according to company policies.
- Participate in quality checks and adhere to procedures for non‑conforming parts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Participate in special projects and complete additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 months related experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions
This position operates within a manufacturing plant environment. It involves interactions with employees and managers, repetitive assembly tasks, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Starting Pay Rate
$16.55 per hour.
