Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an AWS Lead Software Engineer‑Java to join the Consumer and Community Banking's Proprietary Wallets team. You will guide agile delivery, build secure, scalable Java microservices on AWS, and drive modern engineering practices across the SDLC.

You will mentor teams, shape architecture, and align delivery with enterprise standards for security, reliability, and performance in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading technologists and coaching teams on goals against strategic initiatives.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced knowledge in cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and operations.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• Contributes to the engineering community with firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC practices.
• Influences peers and decision-makers to use leading-edge technologies.
• Supports team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering adoption with secure validation standards and reusable patterns.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge including AI-assisted development and automation.
