Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for integration and delivery. The role involves collaborating with system architects and developers to optimize Lambdas, Step Functions, and internal applications.

Required are 3+ years in Python or TS/JS, plus CI/CD experience and a solid understanding of web app architecture and security/compliance. On-site Vienna, VA, with 2+ years AWS/GCP/Azure experience.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Design, implement, and maintain automation code responsible for integration and delivery processes
• Knowledge of IT architectures, processes, and best practices
• Work with system architects and developers to maintain and improve the automated solutions (e.g. Lambdas, Step Functions, internal applications)
• Focus on creating and maintaining automation scripts for repeatable tasks
• Research and implement new tools/libraries to solve problems.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• 3+ years experience with Python or Typescript/Javascript
• Experience integrating multiple 3rd party libraries together
• Experience being in a continuous integration and continuous deployment process
• Understanding of security vulnerabilities/compliance
• Understanding of basic web application architecture

Additional Requirements:

• 2+ years related experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with AWS (e.g., CloudFormation, Lambda, Step Functions, SDK/boto3)
• Experience in continuous integration technology (e.g. GitLab, GitHub, Azure Devops)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with Poly
• Ability to work on-site in Vienna, VA (4 days per week)
• Experience with AWS cloud environments
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong documentation and communication abilities
