Job summary

aqua IT is seeking an AWS DevOps Platform Engineer to support an internal platform and a proxy-based AI gateway. The role focuses on EKS/Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python, with on-call responsibilities and a 4-week rotation.

You will build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for production systems used across government-focused environments. Join a team of strong engineers committed to resilient architectures, security best practices, and ongoing automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS technologies.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms.
• Strong python programming skills.
• Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Experience supporting highly available, secure production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Build and automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and security across production environments.
• Partner with software engineers, security teams, and operations personnel to improve platform resiliency.
• Support compliance, accreditation, and operational requirements for government-focused environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and long-term platform strategy.
