Job summary

Recru in Houston, TX seeks a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure for AI, data science, and application workloads. You will lead automation initiatives using IaC, CI/CD, and security compliance within a cross‑functional team.

You will design and maintain Terraform/CloudFormation across multi‑account AWS environments, build CI/CD pipelines, enforce security policies, support containerized deployments, and mentor junior engineers while advancing

Qualifications

• 5+ years AWS DevOps/Platform experience.
• 5+ years of IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• 5+ years Kubernetes/container orchestration experience.
• 5+ years scripting (Python, Bash).
• 5+ years Linux/Unix experience.
• 5+ years code repository experience (GitHub, GitLab, ADO).
• 3+ years CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Strong cloud networking, security, and architecture understanding.
• Excellent troubleshooting and incident-response skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code across multi-account AWS environments.
• Build, improve, and shift-left CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement, automate, and enforce security and compliance policies at resource level.
• Support deployment automation into containerized clusters and data platforms.
• Manage complex pipelines spanning multi-cloud, multi-platform, and on-prem systems.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers.
• Automate compliance integrations into CI/CD pipelines and tools using Terraform.
