Job summary

Recru in Houston, TX seeks a Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure for AI, data science, and application workloads. You will lead automation initiatives using IaC, CI/CD, and security compliance within a cross‑functional team.

You will design and maintain Terraform/CloudFormation across multi‑account AWS environments, build CI/CD pipelines, enforce security policies, support containerized deployments, and mentor junior engineers while advancing

Qualifications

• 5+ years AWS DevOps/Platform experience.
• 5+ years of IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• 5+ years Kubernetes/container orchestration experience.
• 5+ years scripting (Python, Bash).
• 5+ years Linux/Unix experience.
• 5+ years code repository experience (GitHub, GitLab, ADO).
• 3+ years CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins).
• Strong cloud networking, security, and architecture understanding.
• Excellent troubleshooting and incident-response skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) across multi‑account AWS environments

• Support deployment automation into containerized clusters and data platforms




• Manage complex pipelines spanning multi‑cloud, multi‑platform, and on‑premises systems

• Automate compliance integrations into CI/CD pipelines and compliance tools using Terraform

Qualifications:

• 5+ years working in the AWS ecosystem as a DevOps/Platform engineer




• 5+ years experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation




• 5+ years experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized orchestration




• 5+ years scripting/programming with industry standard languages/tools (Python, Bash, Shell)




• 5+ years Linux/Unix experience




• 5+ years code repository experience (GitHub, GitLab, ADO)




• 3+ years supporting CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc)




• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and architecture patterns




• Excellent troubleshooting and incident‑response skills

Preferred Skills:

• AWS architecture certification
